Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the third-party company that operates that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its own results. Idaho Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Idaho Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. The site publishes general directions to records held by Idaho State Police BCI, the Idaho Department of Correction, the Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry, Idaho courts, and agencies across 44 counties. Government disclosure follows rules such as the Idaho Public Records Act, Idaho Code title 74, chapter 1, while dissemination of Idaho criminal history by non-BCI recipients is addressed by Idaho Code §67-3008. Those laws do not turn this private site into a government custodian. Idaho Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about third parties.

Outside companies provide the search boxes found on the site. Information entered there is governed by the selected partner's privacy policy. Each company controls its own processing, retention, and sharing practices. Review those terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Idaho agencies, court portals, county sheriff and clerk websites, legal-aid resources, or third-party search providers. Once a visitor leaves Idaho Criminal History, the destination's policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. Any such tracking is performed through the provider's systems and policies.

Idaho Criminal History does not sell personal data. Limited information may be received by:
