This Is Not a Government Office. Idaho Criminal History cannot retrieve official records, perform official checks, change a record, or receive an expungement or shielding filing. Contact the government custodian directly.
Need an Official Record?
Use the Idaho source that maintains the specific record:
- Court case files: begin with the Idaho court case lookup, then ask the filing county's District Court clerk for documents or certification
- Criminal histories and official checks: use Idaho State Police BCI for an Idaho repository request
- State custody or felony supervision: search the Idaho Department of Correction Resident/Client Search
- Registry information: use the Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry, which ISP BCI manages with county sheriff verification
- Police and incident reports: contact the sheriff, police department, or Idaho State Police unit that created the report
- Expungement or shielding: use the correct BCI application or file in the court that holds the case, depending on the Idaho remedy
- County records: locate the correct sheriff, jail, or clerk through the directory of all 44 Idaho counties
For Idaho repository checks, the official public counter is Idaho State Police, Bureau of Criminal Identification, Applicant Unit, 700 S. Stratford Drive, Suite 120, Meridian, ID 83642, 208-884-7130 option 1. ISP BCI accepts the request channels documented on its official forms; it does not accept emailed criminal-history check requests.
